The Run

The route loops around picturesque downtown Caspar! Total mileage is about 2.5 and mostly flat. Go as fast or slow as you’d like. Some loops are optional and the route can be shortened to fit your needs.  The goal is to be healthy together, enjoying the outside in our neighborhood – while moving around!

{The route is off the busy/fast parts of Caspar. We will put signage and cones in the roadways, and safety volunteers to direct vehicles that may come through. Technically, we cannot close the roads – but an encroachment permit is what is recommended by the county. See paperwork below}

Cheer each other on as we pass! High fives encouraged.

Afterwards, come hang out in the back yard of the community center for a healthy homemade granola bar (Gluten-free, dairy-free, tree-nut free) and to enjoy the day together. Play area will be open for families to use.

Get in on Pollinator Education programming for children and adults. Make a CA coastal native wildflower seed ball to take home!

Cost – $25-50 sliding scale donation per runner/walker.   Stroller babies ride free!

T-Shirt – A unique one-of-a-kind, up-cycled shirt will be printed locally by SneakerWAVE is an additional $20 (All sizes available)

ABOUT

The 2023 Caspar Fun Run is a first annual event to fundraise for the Coastal Pollinator Sanctuary Project and to bring Caspar community together in a healthy, active way.

The Sanctuary Project was started by Master Beekeeper, Francesca Sandoval Rojas and the goal is to support native bees and honey bees on the coast. Donations will support free or reduced cost workshops, materials and teacher stipends. Workshop activities include studying the coast pollinators,  planting native forage and creating and protecting habitat. Education around human activities that hinder pollinators and how to remedy disease in a hive.

If you or someone you know would like to contribute time or funds to help these efforts, please email ___________.

We are looking for a volunteer medic and traffic safety volunteers.
